Winch Repairs is a Winchester computer workshop. The person who quotes your repair is the person who does it and the person who answers when you ring back.
We've been fixing computers in and around Winchester for over a decade — home laptops that have slowed to a crawl, gaming rigs that crash mid-match, office machines that hold a small business together, and the occasional hard drive with twenty years of photos on it and no backup.
The approach is the same regardless: diagnose it properly before quoting, name the parts on the invoice, and don't sell anyone hardware they don't need. It's a slower way to run a repair shop and it's the reason most of our work now comes from people who were sent by someone else.
Why we build PCs too
Because we were already fixing the ones other people built badly. A prebuilt machine is specified to hit a price, which usually means a good graphics card sat behind a weak power supply in a case with no airflow. We build the other way round — quiet, cool, serviceable, and matched to what you actually run.
Every build gets 24 hours of stress testing before it leaves, and 2 years of warranty on our workmanship on top of the manufacturer cover on each part.
Where we work
The workshop is in Winchester and we cover Winchester, Kings Worthy, Littleton, Alresford, Twyford, Colden Common, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Romsey for collection, return and on-site visits. Networks and office setups are almost always done on site; bench repairs are quicker and cheaper here.
